Zum 66. Jahrestag der "Schlacht um Kreta" finden auch dieses Jahr im Mai wieder zahlreiche Veranstaltungen statt. Hier ein Überblick:

Battle of Crete 66th Anniversary

Friday 18th May 2007
18.45: Mediterranean Architectural Centre, Great Arsenal, Old Harbour, Chania.
Opening of stamp exhibition with Battle of Crete themes.

Saturday 19th May 2007
17.45: Souda Bay War Cemetery.
Memorial service and laying of wreaths. Organised by the British Embassy.

Monday 21st May 2007
11.30 a.m. Keriti Memorial, Dimos Mousouron.
Laying of wreaths. Local school children parade.

Tuesday 22nd May 2007
11:00a.m. Souda Naval Station
Memorial service with the Mayor of Souda.
19:00: Gouvernetou Monestery, Akrotiri
Memorial service with the Mayor Of Akrotiri.

Wednesday 23rd May 2007
11.00a.m. Kambia, Keramia
Memorial service with the Mayor of Keramia
18:00 Nea Hora Harbour
Memorial service with the Mayor of Chania.
Followed by short theatrical performance "Dafnino Stefani" – The Laurel Wreath.
